EnviroGLAS is Made of Recycled Content

EnviroGLAS Terrazzo is made of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled glass.  Over 40 billion glass bottles are made every year, and 75% of them wind up in landfills.  Many municipalities have stopped collecting glass for recycling due to a lack of market.  We offer a solution to that problem. Each EnviroGLAS product is about 75% recycled glass and 25% binder by volume.

EnviroGLAS Conserves Natural Resources

EnviroGLAS Terrazzo conserves natural resources by utilizing recycled glass as opposed to marble mined from the earth, while at the same time conserving landfill space.  The ability to use glass from local recycling programs means minimal transportation impact and therefore minimal greenhouse gas emissions.

EnviroGLAS Contributes to a Safe, Healthy Indoor Environment

EnviroGLAS Terrazzo is a seamless solid surface that safeguards the health of the indoor environment because it does not stain, chip or burn and is resistant to chemicals and bacterial growth. The thin set epoxy binder is a 100% solid formula, with absolutely no Volatile Organic Compounds and negligible emissions. EnviroGLAS Terrazzo odorless hard surface systems require no harsh chemicals to maintain. Cured EnviroGLAS is VOC-free so occupants can move immediately in after application with no indoor air quality issues.

EnviroGLAS is Sustainable

EnviroGLAS Terrazzo is made to last the life of the structure; its sustainability eliminates the need for replacing flooring and all the trash associated with renovation. In many renovation projects of centuries-old buildings, original terrazzo flooring has been restored to its original luster after minimal repairs and refinishing. If desired, EnviroGLAS Terrazzo can be ground up and reconstituted into a new floor.

EnviroGLAS Saves Energy and Water

EnviroGLAS Terrazzo environmentally friendly floors require daily maintenance of only dry mop and weekly buffing, saving water, electricity and people-power.  Maintenance of extremely high-use areas requires only neutral pH cleaners and water. Waxing is not required, reducing waste and use of harsh chemicals. EnviroSLAB countertops require neutral cleansers and water. A granite polish may be applied periodically if desired.
